SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN NATIONAL CONFERENCE: COMMUNICATING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE Date: Saturday 30th January Venue: Days Hotel, Park West (easier to find than Sport HQ) For: Club Children’s Officers; Designated Persons; Club members with responsibility for young people; All members welcome This is a day not to miss for your Club Children’s Officers and Designated Persons. All Club members are encouraged to attend – the day will be valuable for all roles working within Clubs Topics included in the day will be: Communication with Children – our main theme for the day Internet Information Guide – what to watch out for and how to keep your members safe on your Club website Safeguarding Guidelines – updates and discussion for putting into practice Complaints and Disciplinary process – understanding roles Time: Registration – 9.30am Conference times – 10.00am to 4.00pm (subject to alteration) Cost: €20/£15 per person, for each paying member another member from the same Club can attend for free** (see note below) Cost includes tea, coffee and light lunch and all conference materials Booking forms available on the Website Return to: National Children’s Officer, Swim Ireland, Sport HQ, **The free member must be a registered member of Swim Ireland in the same Club as the paying member |
