Irish Masters swimmers claimed a haul of eight medals across a total 40 swims on day six of the European Aquatics Masters Championships in Samorin, Slovakia.
Norma Cahill and Dymphna Morris both took gold medals in the 400m freestyle event. Norma of Ennis Masters in the 60-64 age group, setting a championship record, and Dymphna of Aer Lingus Masters in the 65-69 age group.
Ruairi Kelly of Dungannon also took another gold in the 400m freestyle in the 25-29 age group S16 class.
Silver medals today went to Danielle Lee of Asgard Masters in the 400m freestyle 20-24 age group. Sarah Farrelly of Aer Lingus Masters in the 50m butterfly in the 50-54 age group with a new Irish record. John Cunningham or Aer Lingus Masters in the 50m butterfly 55-59 age group.
Adding to the medals, David Graham of Leander took bronze in the 400m freestyle 40-44 age group, with a new Irish record. Charlotte Reid of Aer Lingus Masters in the 200m breaststroke 45-49 age group.
