The role of a club committee member has never been more important or more complex! From governance and safeguarding to complaints handling, online safety and member expectations, club volunteers are navigating increasingly challenging environments while continuing to provide positive experiences for their members.
To support clubs in this vital work, Swim Ireland is delighted to launch the 2026 #LearnConnectProtect Club Committee Conference Series, taking place across three locations in November:
📍 Limerick | Castletroy Park Hotel | 7 November 2026
📍 Athlone | Glasson Lakehouse Hotel | 8 November 2026
📍 Dublin | Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown | 14 November 2026
These practical conferences will provide attendees with the knowledge, tools and connections needed to confidently manage the realities of modern club life.
Who Should Attend?
These conferences are particularly relevant for:
-
Complaints & Disciplinary Officers (CDOs)
-
Club Children’s Officers (CCOs)
-
Chairs and committee members
-
Secretaries and Treasurers
-
Coaches and club leaders
-
Volunteers involved in governance and safeguarding
Whether you are experienced in your role or newly appointed, the conference offers an excellent opportunity to learn, network and strengthen the support structures within your club.
Have Your Say at Our Upcoming Club Conferences!
Our upcoming Club Conferences are a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow clubs, hear important updates from Swim Ireland, and contribute to shaping the future of our sport.
As part of each conference, we will be facilitating a consultation session to gather feedback from clubs on the next Swim Ireland Strategy. This is your opportunity to reflect on your club’s experiences, discuss the challenges and opportunities facing clubs today, and help identify the priorities that will best support clubs and members in the years ahead.
We encourage all club representatives attending the conferences to take part in these discussions and help shape the next chapter of Swim Ireland.
