Freestyle and Butterfly Race Skills with Calum Bain

 

Join Calum Bain, National Centre Dublin athlete, on Sunday 1st December 16:00-18:00, for a clinic on developing your Race Skills for Freestyle and Butterfly. Let Calum teach you how to transfer your technique, and other stroke fundamentals into race specific skills, by adding speed but maintaining overall technique and endurance. This is the perfect time to improve on these skills, as Irish Winter Championships is fast approaching, and then the all anticipated Long-Course Season is set to begin!

Freestyle Stroke & Skills with Victoria Catterson

 

Join Olympic athlete and 200 Freestyle record holder Victoria Catterson for a Freestyle Stroke and Skills Clinic, on Sunday 29th December, 1600-1800, in the National Aquatic Centre (NAC), Blanchardstown. An ideal Christmas present for those swimming enthusiasts in your life, and the perfect timing to enhance your Freestyle technique, just in time before the Long-Course season kicks off!

 

Swimmers need to be at least turning 12 in 2025 and be registered with a Swim Ireland club. Please use your child’s Swim Ireland number to book in. Any queries to contact Zoe on zoesmith@swimireland.ie

National Centre Limerick will be running some clinics in the upcoming months

Sunday 24/11/2024 (12:00 – 14:00) & (14:00 – 16:00)

Backstroke clinic with 2024 Paralympic Silver Medallist Roisin Ni Rian, World championship qualifier Maria Godden & Summer National medallist Neddie Irwin. (Technique & key drills, starts using the backstroke wedges & turns).

(14:00 – 16:00)

Butterfly Clinic with 2024 European Long Course finalist Jack Cassin, Munster record holder Lucy O’Brien & Summer National medalist Brogan McAviney. (Butterfly technique & key drills, starts & turns – underwater work).
