Swim Ireland is the National Governing Body (NGB) for Swimming, Water Polo, Diving and Artistic Swimming across the 32 counties of Ireland, with a vision of “An island of swimmers”. Infrastructure has been included in the Swim Ireland strategy as a core pillar, and operating Sean McDermott Street Swimming Pool plays an important role in supporting more people to engage with aquatics within Dublin 1 and surrounding areas.

Swim Ireland will be taking over the operation of the Sean McDermott Street Pool in Dublin from September 2023 and we are now recruiting for suitably qualified and enthusiastic staff to join our Team.

We are seeking to appoint the following roles.

  • Leisure Attendants
  • Lifeguards
  • Level 2 Swimming Teachers
  • Duty Managers

We anticipate the pool to be open from 7.30am – 10pm Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5pm Saturday and 10am – 5pm Sunday. We can offer full time or part time hours.

Safeguarding: Successful candidates will be required to hold a valid Swim Ireland recognised Safeguarding Certificate – successful candidates will be given the opportunity to complete a Safeguarding course if required (free of charge).

Rate of Payment: Competitive rates of pay, based on qualifications and experience.

Location: Sean McDermott Street Pool, Sean McDermott Street Lower, Dublin 1.

  • Garda Vetting and suitable reference checks.
