Join Victoria Catterson for a Freestyle Skills Clinic – Including Starts, breakouts, stroke technique and turns on Monday 6th May 17:00-19:00.

Victoria has recently competed at World Championships in Doha, Qatar, where she played a pivotal role in helping to secure the Women’s 4×100 Medley Relay spot for Paris 2024. Victoria is a Freestyle specialist who dominates the 100, 200 and 400 Freestyle, and she will take you through all aspects of a Freestyle Stroke. All swimmers in attendance at this clinic will receive FREE Amanzi gear from Victoria herself. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity. This clinic is priced at €60 per person

 

Join us on Tuesday 28th May from 17:00-19:00, in the National Centre Dublin, with two-time Olympian Shane Ryan, for a clinic on all things Backcrawl.

Shane will take you through drills, skills, starts and turns, to help you improve and perfect your Backcrawl technique, just in time for those Key Summer Meets! It is your chance to get to meet Shane in person, as he takes some time out of his busy schedule, and who is gearing up to qualify for his third consecutive Games! A fantastic opportunity not to be missed. The clinic is priced at €100 per person.

National Centre Dublin Coaches Andrew Addison and Steve Beckerleg will be running clinics aimed at Open Water Swimmers, Masters Swimmers and Triathletes (all athletes looking to attend must be at least 18 years of age). The objective of the sessions will be to improve your technique to make swimming more enjoyable and fun. Clinics are priced at €75 per person and will be capped at 30 people per session so get your booking in quick!

 

Clinic 1 – Andrew Addison – POSTPONED – New date to be announced

Andrew Addison serves as the Assistant Head Coach at the National Centre in Dublin.  Andrew is also the Head Coach for the LA Olympic Games focussed group – Project 28.  Since 2011 Andrew has worked with masters’ swimmers and triathletes, with several of them making it all the way to the Ironman World Championships in Kona and Nice.

Andrew had 3 athletes qualify for junior international competition in 2023 with two of those going on to qualifying for the Senior European Short Course Championships. Since Andrew’s joining the Centre, its most recent success has been to qualify 6 athletes to the team for the World Championships in Doha.’

Clinic 2 – Steven Beckerleg – Monday 27th May, 17:30-19:00 – PLEASE NOTE NEW TIME

Steven Beckerleg serves as the Head Coach at the National Centre in Dublin. Steven was previously the Assistant Head Coach before being promoted in 2022.

Since becoming the Head Coach, the centre has gone from strength to strength. The centre’s most recent success coming in the form of qualifying 6 athletes to the most recent World Championships in Doha.

 

Calling All Masters Athletes!

Looking to develop your understanding and knowledge around your Strength and Conditioning, and how you can incorporate it into your own training? Then we have the clinic for you….Move Better, Be Stronger – S&C for Adults of all Ages.

Taking place on Monday July 1st 19:00-21:00 in the GAA National Games Development Centre, Sport Ireland Campus

Swim Ireland Head of Physical Preparation, Paul Talty, will run an S&C clinic aimed at athletes aged 18 and over focusing on developing sound movement skills to underpin the development of strength and power for sports performance. The aim of the clinic will be to improve your confidence in integrating strength and conditioning training into your overall programme. This workshop will be suitable for anyone over 18 including masters’ athletes.

The clinic will be priced at €75 and will be limited to 20 people.
