National Centre Limerick Skills Clinics

The National Centre (Limerick) would like to offer athletes the opportunity to take part in skills and stroke clinics at the University of Limerick Sports Arena.  The NCL athletes and coaches will lead the clinics, which will be held whilst the pool in long course format.

The clinics will be available for any swimmer who turns 12 in 2024 and who has previous experience competing in their regional or national level competitions. It must be noted that the places will be filled on a first come first served basis. So, book quickly to avoid disappointment.

Registration is completed through the athlete’s profile and not the parent’s profile. All club members have a profile – their username should be their Swim Ireland membership number.

All clinics are €55 per person

  • Saturday 16th March from 12:00 to 14:00

Backstroke Clinic with 2024 World Semi Finalist  John Shortt and World Qualifier Maria Godden and World Para Champion and Para World Record Holder Roisín Ní Riaín (technique, starts using backstroke ledges, turns and maintaining that perfect head position).

 

  • Saturday 20th April from 12:00 to 14:00

Starts & Turns Clinic with World Semi Finalist Maria Godden and Irish Open Champion Diarmuid Sutton on Dives & Backstroke starts. And European Junior and Commonwealth Youth Games medalist Ellie McCartney & Irish Winter National Medalist Danielle Farrell on open & flip turns.

 

  • Saturday 20th April from 17:00 – 19:00

Freestyle Skills Clinic with Olympian Finn McGeever, European Youth Olympic Festival semi-finalist Conor Fitzgerald and Irish Winter National Medalist in the 400 free Cormac Rynn (Freestyle Technique, starts & turns).
